Our Policy

The Puppy Buyer or agent, prior to delivery or shipment of the puppy will pay the Puppy Owner, Vincent's Portuguese Puppies, the total agreed amount. Upon receipt of the total payment, Vincent's Portuguese Pointers will deliver said puppy, in good health, current vaccination record and AKC registration papers.

Vincent's Portuguese Pointers will provide the Buyer the AKC puppy registration application. The application must be completed and submitted to AKC by the Buyer. The Buyer also understands that the registration application expires after one year from date of puppy's birth and that after that time, the puppy is not registerable.

The Buyer also agrees to all transportation costs.

The Puppy is guaranteed until it is twenty-six (26) months old against any major genetic fault. If the fault, during that period, is confirmed by a second veterinarian, the buyer has the following options:

1. The puppy can be returned to Vincent's Portuguese Pointers and the buyer has the option to get another dog out of the next breeder's available litter;

2. Having a written certification showing the dog's anomaly and keeping the defective puppy, the buyer will have the right to select a puppy out of the next breeder's available litter.

In both options it will not be the breeder's responsibility for any veterinarian or other fees that may arise unless a written agreement between Vincent's Portuguese Pointers and buyer is finalized. The maximum time period to take possession of a replacing puppy is twenty-four (24) months.

The buyer shall bring the puppy to a veterinarian at the indicated date in the vaccination booklet. If this is not the case, the breeder will not be held responsible for the well-being of the puppy.

If the above puppy is found to be mistreated, Vincent's Portuguese Pointers, in agreement with a veterinarian or any Animal Protection Society, will claim the puppy at no costs.
